Stormpaw's Quest Chapter 3Stormpaw's Quest.
"Stormpaw! My kit! Don't leave me!" Her mother's voice was carried above the wild wind, running right through her as if she were nothing. Mother! Where was she? Nothing could be seen in the storm. The darkness around her was comforting, if only the noises of what lay beyond would silence themselves. "Stormpaw! Stormpaw-- Help!" Voices of her dear friends, family. Something warm pressed against her, though she was frozen in place and couldn't move. Slowly, Stormpaw turned her head to see.. Herself. Only, not herself. This Stormpaw's fur was ragged and unkept, dull and sticking out everywhere. Her claws were out, and her whiskers bent. Finally, the two of them met eyes. Fighting against the will of her dream, Stormpaw stept back, horror robbing her of speech. "Don't you like it?" The other Stormpaw's voice was a mixture of her parents, she could tell. Ashpaw slipped his tongue over his maws, swiping up the last remains of the rabbit he and Stormpaw had shared. "I'm not saying we did anything, Stormpaw." Stormpaw felt more and more shaken. Ashpaw was acting weird, as was Shadestar. Were they hiding something from her? Trying to shake the feeling, with no avail, Stormpaw breathed in deeply before leading herself and Ashpaw to Shadestar's den. Their leader's den was beautiful, in her opinion. Under the roots of a half uprooted willow tree. Mew

The steady rumble of thunder sounded, rolling through-out the forest, lost in it's never ending abundance of trees. Stormpaw's eyes fluttered open, revealing unsettling blue eyes. The EchoClan apprentice had just been named, and given a mentor. She was estatic. The snow-white she-cat hauled herself up into a hunched over sitting position, jaws gaped open in a noisy yawn. EchoClan was the largest Clan of the four; DawnClan, FrostClan, DuskClan and EchoClan. Their territory dwelled inside of a nearly tropical forest, rocky terrain mixed in with plains as well as looming oaks. Stormpaw couldn't complain. Sitting up for a moment, the haze of sleep slowly drifting away, Stormpaw gave her narrow head a good shake. "Time to wake up, Stormpaw." The newly appointed apprentice muttered to herself, easily stepping over her sleeping denmates. She'd always had long legs. Long legs, slender figure, petite frame. She had always gotten picked on, saying she'd never amou
